You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, client, and UKPN Services standards, and lead a team of engineers to produce top-tier design solutions. Your role will involve technical liaison with suppliers and clients, creating new business opportunities, and ensuring successful project delivery. Principal Accountabilities : * Develop and oversee the delivery of electrical infrastructure designs * Provide technical input to the team and UKPN Services bids * Ensure robust design solutions for accurate tender submissions * Lead in developing business opportunities and preparing proposals * Assess cost/benefit trade-offs and support technical decision-making * Identify areas for technological advancement while maintaining engineering standards * Manage design engineers for project delivery Qualifications: * Degree level or equivalent in engineering or science * Excellent knowledge of power distribution, electrification, protection, and control systems * Safety management qualification such as NEBOSH certificate or equivalent * Membership of a professional body such as the IET * Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership * Basic knowledge of project management Health and Safety Requirements: * Ensure all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements are considered * Promote safe working methods and systems in design * Mentor junior staff in Health & Safety matters * Communicate and implement H&S policies * Create a safe working environment for all staff and contractors Ready to take your career to the next level?
