Job Description:
The Program Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering large-scale programs and projects in a consulting environment, ensuring that they meet strategic objectives and are completing projects/programs on time, and within budget. This role involves overseeing the initiation, planning, execution, and monitoring of program/project activities, setting program/project budgets, tracking expenses, and reporting financial performance to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement program strategies, goals, and objectives in alignment with the company's/client's overall objectives.
* Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of program/project activities to ensure successful delivery against the contract.
* Manage program/project budgets, actuals, forecast, track expense and report financial performance to senior management.
* Identify and mitigate program/project risks through effective risk and dependency management strategies.
* Coordinate and manage the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants.
* Ensure that program/project deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with industry best practices.
* Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and other team members.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
* Communicate program/project status, progress, and issues to stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
* Continuously evaluate and improve program/project tools, processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 10+ years of proven experience as a Senior Program Manager or Program Manager, with the development background.
* Strong understanding of program management/project management methodologies and best practices.
* Experience with planning, budgeting, financial reporting, risk/issue management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Preferred Skills:
* Certification in program management methodologies such as PMP or PgMP and Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
* Experience in managing programs and projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
