Due to continued growth within our Infrastructure division, we are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team supporting major infrastructure and energy projects in Chesterfield.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile programmes, providing commercial and cost management expertise across complex infrastructure schemes. You will collaborate with clients, Tier 1 contractors and multidisciplinary project teams, helping to deliver projects that make a lasting impact on communities and the wider economy.

Key Responsibilities

• Support commercial and cost management activities across major infrastructure and energy projects
• Administer NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings and change control processes
• Prepare cost plans, valuations, forecasts and commercial reports
• Monitor project expenditure, budgets, cash flow and commercial performance
• Support procurement activities, tender evaluations and contract reviews
• Identify, manage and report commercial risks and opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders
• Contribute to value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives
• Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate

Essential

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, utilities, energy or civil engineering environments
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts
• Experience working on major infrastructure, utilities or capital delivery programmes
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline

Desirable

• MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership
• Experience within utilities, power, energy transmission or other regulated infrastructure sectors
• Consultancy experience
