Band 3 Therapy Assistant
Hull University Teaching Hospitals are seeking to recruit a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join our diverse team of allied health professionals and support staff within the Trauma Orthopaedics / Major Trauma unit at Hull Royal Infirmary.
The successful applicant will work alongside colleagues to support the assessment and rehabilitation of patients referred for acute or complex rehabilitation after accident or injury, including major trauma. As a Therapy Assistant you will have direct input in the treatment of patients who present within acute care, delivering evidence‑based interventions to facilitate recovery, promote well‑being and optimise independent functioning as far as reasonably possible in all areas of life.
We are seeking proactive, adaptable team members who can thrive in a changing environment. You will be expected to be an active member of the therapy and multidisciplinary teams and to treat patients and colleagues with compassion, kindness and respect.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Working across the Trust’s clinical areas and any site as required.
* Working 37.5 hours Monday‑Friday, supporting patient rehab progression and contributing to a 1:5 weekend rota.
* Assisting physiotherapists and occupational therapists with delegated duties.
* Performing clerical and administrative duties directly related to patient care, including mobility aids and clinical supplies.
Qualifications and experience:
* NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent (desirable).
* Experience delivering or supporting rehabilitation services in an acute or major trauma setting is an asset.
