Senior Healthcare Assistant - Ward (Ophthalmology)

Up to £25,500 per annum, depending on experience
37.5 hours (Availability both Thursdays and Fridays are essential)
An NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare (or an equivalent subject) and previous hospital experience are essential for this role.
We are looking for a Healthcare Support Worker with a particular interest in Ophthalmology to assist with the Ophthalmology day case lists. The ideal candidate will responsible for working alongside nursing staff but may be required to run short lists autonomously.
When not helping to deliver excellent care to our Ophthalmology patients, you will be working alongside an amazing ward team to deliver care to our surgical and endoscopy patients.

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant on the ward at our Wessex Hospital, you'll show us you're able to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You have a good telephone manner, and great computer and database skills.

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is a stunning 46 bedded private hospital in West Hampshire with specialisms in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Women's Health and Spinal surgery. The hospital also benefits from having onsite Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy so we can give our patients a complete package of care. There are 16 consulting rooms with specialty outpatient rooms, 46 private patient bedrooms with en-suite facilities, 24 hr resident doctor on site (RMO) and four operating theatres and one endoscopy suite.
