Senior Mobile Developer (iOS) – Glasgow (Hybrid)
Location: Glasgow – hybrid flexibility. Office just outside Glasgow, accessible by train, with onsite parking. Expect about three days per week onsite.
Overview
We’re seeking an energetic Senior Mobile Developer with deep iOS expertise and a strong background in cross‑platform development. You will own and evolve our enterprise‑grade iOS applications, lead a strategic migration to React Native, and shape the mobile product strategy across multiple countries.
What You’ll Do
* Own the platform – maintain and enhance native iOS apps for stability and performance.
* Drive innovation – lead the migration to React Native, introducing modern modules and native bridges.
* Collaborate and create – work closely with backend teams and contribute to technical roadmaps.
* Deliver excellence – manage offline‑first data, secure storage, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Stabilise and ship updates for existing iOS apps, fixing crashes and improving performance.
* Manage SQLite‑based offline data and synchronise with backend APIs.
* Implement secure storage using Keychain and modular CocoaPods.
* Oversee CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and internal MDM distribution.
* Participate in Agile and Waterfall workflows, including story refinement, estimation, development, testing, and implementation.
What You Bring
* 5+ years of mobile development experience with deep iOS expertise and cross‑platform skills.
* Proficiency in Objective‑C, Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, SQLite, Keychain.
* Strong knowledge of MVC, MVVM, Coordinator patterns and dependency injection.
* Experience with React Native (TypeScript, React Navigation, Expo) and state management (Redux, Zustand).
* Testing expertise with Jest and Detox.
* CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, Fastlane or EAS Build.
* Familiarity with C#/.NET APIs, SQL and performance tuning using Flipper and Instruments.
* Experience leading projects, coaching developers, and shaping mobile best practices.

Bonus Points
* Azure DevOps, Fastlane, or EAS Build experience.
* Familiarity with C#/.NET APIs and SQL.
* Performance tuning and debugging with Flipper and Instruments.
