Key Responsibilities
As Assistant Head Teacher, you will:

Play a central role in shaping and implementing the school’s strategic vision and improvement plans
*
Lead on key areas such as teaching and learning, curriculum development, behaviour and wellbeing, or assessment (depending on experience and strengths)
*
Support and develop teaching staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
*
Monitor and evaluate pupil progress to ensure high standards of achievement
*
Be a key part of the safeguarding team, promoting the welfare of all pupils
*
Deputise for the Head Teacher and Deputy Head when required
*
Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, governors, and the wider community
What We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant primary teaching experience
*
Proven track record of successful leadership and impact on school improvement
*
A deep understanding of effective teaching, learning and assessment strategies
*
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
*
A commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and continuous professional development
*
The ability to inspire and lead others by example
