Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate on database design to support application development.
* Design schemas, indexes, SQL queries, and procedures.
* Maintain database specifications and documentation.
* Analyze SQL query performance and recommend improvements.
* Evaluate system upgrades and enhancements.
* Build high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) systems.
* Ensure uptime for OLTP databases.
* Review and prepare database deployments.
* Stay updated on industry best practices.
* Provide hands-on design, development, and code reviews.
* Possess in-depth SQL Server architecture knowledge.
* Collaborate within a team and provide after-hours support.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
* 7+ years of SQL Engineering/Administration experience (SQL Server 2012+).
* Strong SQL Server architecture and optimization skills.
* Automation and scripting expertise (PowerShell, VBScript, T-SQL).
* Knowledge of storage systems and replication technologies.
* Familiarity with security and encryption.
* MCSA/MCSE certification is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills.
