Location: Home based with travel to training locations as required
Salary: £20.00ph
Travel cost- 25p per mile if driving own car or public transport costs can be supported.
About the Job
We are looking for a learning disability Co- Trainer to help us deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training. This training helps health and social care staff learn how to support autistic people and learning-disability people in the right way.
As a Co‑Trainer, you will work with a Lead Trainer. You will share your real‑life experiences, help people understand why good care matters, and help make training better for everyone.
What You Will Do:
1. Talk about your own experiences of using health or social care services
2. Help explain key messages in the Oliver McGowan Training
3. Work with a Lead Trainer as part of a team
4. Support group discussions
5. Help make people think about how they can give better care
6. Attend training and preparation sessions
7. Travel to training sessions
What We Are Looking For:

8. Has a learning disability
9. Is comfortable talking to people about their lived experiences
10. Would like to listen to, and positively impact the lived experiences of others
11. Would like to improve services, both for our learning disability colleagues and learning disability clients
12. Would like to work with a lead trainer to improve learning disability awareness, understanding, and practice across the business
13. Is comfortable travelling to various locations and/ or joining online sessions
