Work Schedule:
Monday – Thursday 7.45am – 4pm, Friday 7.45am – 3.30pm. Weekends on rota.
Responsibilities
* Direct line management including coaching, performance management, recruitment and other management duties.
* Schedule and coordinate proactively and in conjunction with other groups or departments the daily activities of the group and liaise with other groups, sections and departments.
* Organise necessary resources for conducting all relevant study or non‑study related tasks and participate in the study performance.
* Assure appropriate communication within the group, particularly for dissemination of information such as study progress, facility procedures, quality, health and safety, business updates and any other departmental or company communications.
* Understand and interpret study plans, identify problems arising from the study plan or during study conduct, and take appropriate action.
* Report all animal welfare concerns and become involved in the resolution and appropriate corrective action when necessary.
* Participate in meetings, inspections or client visits.
Minimum Qualifications
* Home Office Personal Licence Holder.
Preferred Qualifications
* IAT level 3.
Additional Job Standards
* Previous experience working within a Laboratory Animal Facility.
* Previous leadership experience, ideally in a similar industry.
* Experience working with large animals is preferred.
