Overview
Sapphire Utility Solutions are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Auditor that will be North West based. You will work closely with the Health & Safety Manager, Advisors and Coordinator to ensure that safety issues on site are identified and rectified. This is a site-based role, which will require you to travel to various sites to conduct audits, complete electronic forms and assign actions.
Location: Bamber Bridge
Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 Hours per week (8:00am - 16:30pm)
Salary: negotiable based on experience
A valid UK driving licence is required with no more than 6 points. A company van with a fuel card will be provided for work-related travel.
Responsibilities – But Not Limited To
* Support managers in the monitoring and management across multi-discipline contracts, with specific focus on risk identification, management and control through site inspection and audit.
* Promote good Health and Safety practices within the team.
* Collaborate to deliver support, general safety advice and guidance on relevant company standards and safe working practices.
* Work with the HSEQ department to implement the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Strategies and delivery plan.
* Support on the development, administration, and upkeep of the Safety Management Systems.
* Inform the business and team of any non-conformance.
* Electronically complete reports, undertake audits and identify and rectify any safety issues that may be present on site.
Experience And Qualifications Required
* NEBOSH Qualification or in the process of completing this.
* Previous HSEQ experience within either the civils / utilities or construction environment.
* Site-based experience within Health and Safety.
* Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
* Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
* Ability to prioritise in a busy, changing environment.
* Team player with an ability to build good working relationships across all levels of personnel.
