Our client is seeking an experienced OFSTED Registered Manager to lead their Children's Homes in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. They provide safe, nurturing environments for children unable to live with their families, emphasizing emotional wellbeing alongside physical health.
The day-to-day responsibilities of the Registered Manager include:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the homes to ensure safety and wellbeing.
2. Developing and maintaining policies to ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
3. Supervising and supporting staff to deliver high-quality care, including emotional and practical support.
4. Fostering positive relationships with staff, children, and families for optimal outcomes.
5. Managing budgets and resources effectively to maintain financial stability and proper facilities.
6. Upholding the organisation's values, promoting rights, autonomy, and dignity.
7. Maintaining accurate records and reports, including assessments and incident reports.
8. Holding regular meetings with children, young people, and staff to review care quality.
9. Collaborating with external agencies to meet individual needs and promote social inclusion.
Candidates should have a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare) or be working towards it.
Must have at least 1 year of experience managing an Ofsted-rated 'good' or above home and possess excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, including The Children's Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Children Act 1989 & 2004, Supported Accommodations Regulations 2023, and related laws.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday with some weekend availability.
The salary is up to GBP45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
