Role Overview:
Job Title: Solutions Architect – Cards & Payments Domain
Location: London
Travel/Relocation/Remote: Hybrid
Good to have skills: TOGAF and specifically the TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM), which provide guidelines and best practices for architects. The 'Requirements Management' circle at the center of the ADM graphic emphasizes its importance, with the ADM driven by this process. The role requires a Solution Architect with domain expertise in designing solutions involving various Payments, Core, and Cards systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Have prior experience in the Cards and Payments domain, including cards issuance and authorization journeys.
2. Experience in banking and secured lending related to Cards is advantageous.
3. Experience with card migration projects is a plus.
4. Understand requirements related to payments/cards systems, design solutions, and provide detailed designs considering non-functional requirements.
5. Create technical solutions aligning with business problems, requirements, and the company's Enterprise Architecture roadmap.
6. Present tactical and strategic architecture and solutions to senior management.
7. Manage and review application, data, and technology components from an enterprise architecture perspective.
Additional skills and knowledge include:
* Effective management of challenging conversations.
* Solid understanding of payment processes.
* Knowledge of payment message and transaction flows, including integration with third-party Fintechs.
* Domain knowledge of Card Issuing & Acquiring, including gateways, ATMs, and switches.
* Understanding of ISO8583, MT & MX messages.
* Experience in defining API specifications for REST or Web Services.
* Knowledge of API & Interface governance, standards, and principles.
* Ability to transform user journeys using latest technologies.
* Knowledge in Cloud Deployments.
* Experience evaluating technology partners and defining KPIs.
* Managing solution lifecycle, technology watch, and developing proofs of concept for Payments & Cards systems.
