Overview
The Finance and Procurement Lead is a critical support to the Station Management Team, responsible for maintaining financial control and ensuring efficient procurement operations. In this role you will oversee financial reporting, budget management, and contract administration, while ensuring compliance with SSE standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
You will
* Provide the primary liaison between the Medway Power Station Team and Corporate Finance.
* Collate and submit the annual budget for all expenditure categories. Uploading and reconciliation of all budget submissions to required timescales. Regular reviews with teams to reconcile expenditure against budget or forecast. Provide commentary to Finance.
* Ensure the Stations position is a true representation of current liabilities and is reflected within accounting systems. Monthly narrative on any variances and forecast.
* Oversee receipting of goods or services delivered compile and process accruals to ensure that orders are accounted for.
* Create and load CAPEX to Project Manager, review RBNI reports and administrate process between Maximo and Harmony database.
Qualifications
Experience of financial administration or business systems applications with knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Experienced in Financial management and reporting processes and a comprehensive understanding of budgeting and financial forecasting, planning and coordination.
* Significant procurement and contract management experience.
* Highly organised and can coordinate others to meet business goals.
* Problem solving skills and the ability to articulate complex technical issues and communicate these at all levels.

Salary
Salary: £42,600 - £64,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
