We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our ELC Team.
Craigroyston Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our team. We welcome applications from experienced Early Year Practitioners who will support our work to ensure learners develop the knowledge, skills, and attributes they need to demonstrate the four key capacities: to be successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens, and effective contributors.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a school environment and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. They will also be competent users of ICT with knowledge and experience of using databases, spreadsheets, and word documents. Excellent communication skills and experience of working to tight deadlines are essential.
Candidates will be expected to provide basic first aid and administer medication as appropriate. A suitable qualification in first aid or a willingness to undertake necessary training is essential.
Our school, supported by AMEY, benefits from a diverse staff team with a range of experiences and interests. We have a pupil support team including PSA, EYP, and PSO practitioners, a vibrant nursery, and 13 classes (provisionally allocated for session 22/23), taught by a mix of full-time and part-time teachers along with a visiting PE teacher. The school has an experienced DHT and welcomed a new HT in April 2022. We are proud of our diverse and vibrant community. Our school values—respect, empathy, resilience, and ambition—underpin our daily ambitions and long-term goals. For more details, please visit our website: www.craigroystonprimary.co.uk
This post involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. The employment offer and start date are contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
We are committed to creating a workplace where all staff feel valued, included, and able to perform their best. We recognize the benefits of a diverse workforce with varied values, beliefs, experiences, and backgrounds.
