St Cuthbert’s Church is looking to appoint a Project Manager (client side) to enable the smooth delivery of its exciting new Opening Doors Project. You will be at the heart of one of the most important building projects in Darlington and be part of the most significant change at St Cuthbert’s for the past 150 years. The project seeks to transform the inside of St Cuthbert’s into an accessible, flexible community hub so it can develop its wider social, cultural and heritage role within the town of Darlington which it serves.
This involves a £2M transformation of St Cuthbert’s church building, opening the church to new audiences, organisations and worshippers. The project starts on site in January 2026.
St Cuthbert’s is looking for someone with relevant construction experience who has a passion for quality workmanship, good communication and getting things done. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and relational intelligence.
The successful candidate will work closely with Knox McConnell architects and Pinnacle Conservation and act as St Cuthbert’s representative on a week-to-week basis.
All employees are subject to a 3-month probationary period and annual appraisal. St. Cuthbert’s Church, Darlington, is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of others and expects all staff to share in this commitment.
