Electrical CAD Technician Location: Great Yarmouth, NorfolkJob Type: PermanentSalary: £27,000 – £30,000 (dependent on experience) + excellent benefitsHours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (flexible start 8:00–9:00am) Are you an experienced CAD Technician looking to take the next step in a hands-on engineering environment where your work directly contributes to real-world projects? We’re working with a specialist engineering manufacturer in Great Yarmouth experiencing continued growth and increased workload, now looking to bring in an Electrical CAD Technician to support projects from concept through to production. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with AutoCAD experience who wants to move beyond basic drafting into full project involvement, technical ownership, and long-term development.What you’ll be doing:
* Producing accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor
* Supporting projects from initial enquiry through to manufacturing and installation
* Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
* Working closely with engineering, projects, and production teams
* Assisting with component selection and supplier liaison
* Ensuring designs meet engineering and industry standards
* Maintaining accurate records, part numbers, and technical data
What we’re looking for:
* 2–3 years’ experience using AutoCAD
* Strong understanding of technical drawings and engineering principles
* Experience with Inventor (advantageous)
* Electrical design knowledge, such as cable sizing or protection systems (advantageous)
* Understanding of hazardous area environments (advantageous)
* Engineering qualification – electrical or mechanical (advantageous)
* Experience working to recognised engineering standards (advantageous)
