Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or designee, the Research Coordinator I will assist with justice-related research projects involving youth and adults in legal settings. Responsibilities include coding justice-related data, attending meetings with stakeholders such as juvenile diversion programs and parole officers, and preparing reports and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in designing data collection tools and research protocols
* Participate in grant applications, manuscript preparation, and IRB processes
* Conduct community surveys and field research, including in-person and telephonic interviews
* Manage data collection, entry, and maintenance
* Perform literature reviews and summarize findings
* Collaborate on data analysis and scientific reporting
* Develop and oversee data management systems
* Support budget and operational tasks related to grants
* Assist in supervising data collection staff
* Ensure data quality and consistency across research sites
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in sciences, healthcare, or related field
* Minimum 1 year of relevant research experience
* Proficiency with computer tools (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
* Ability to travel to off-site locations
Preferred Skills
* Experience with SPSS
* Background in criminology, criminal justice, forensic psychology, or related areas

* Work environment includes office, laboratory, and off-campus sites
