Nottingham Trent House (95002), United Kingdom, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Head of UK Testing About This Role As the Head of UK Testing, you will report into the Head of Testing and Assurance (HTA) within the UK Compliance function, you will lead the Compliance Testing team that is responsible for Independent Compliance Transaction Testing, Rapid Response Tests and Compliance Control Reviews for the UK Business. You will support the UK HTA by leading and executing an effective Testing Program that ensures the UK Business has assurance that their processes are working effectively, appropriately controlled for and delivering good customer outcomes. You will lead the team of Compliance testers that execute our testing program and you will ensure they reach their potential, grow as compliance professionals and enable us to deliver on our Compliance Vision. What you'll do Partnering with the Head of Testing Assurance to develop an annual testing calendar That ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and delivery of good customer outcomes, by appropriate and targeted testing of processes and controls Manage the design and execution of Testing Ensure each test is appropriately designed to: Cover the Compliance Risk associated with the process Follow Enterprise testing processes and procedures Encompass feedback and areas of focus of business stakeholders Brings in the external environment, including regulatory areas of focus Ensure your testing team: Is appropriately resourced and assigned to tests effectively Has the tools, training and access to effectively execute testing Ensure you: Communicate and partner with Business stakeholders to ensure they understand the testing processes and procedures and the timing of testing Continually review the effectiveness of testing processes and tools and drive improvements to ensure high quality testing Provide transparency and visibility of Testing methodology process and tools to business stakeholders and partner with them to understand where value and insight can be driven Create Monthly Test Result Reports that effectively communicate results For both UK and US governance forums, including to the UK CEO, UK Chief Compliance Officer, and US Senior Compliance Officer People leadership and talent development People Leadership of a team of Compliance Testers, and broader leadership within the Compliance Testing and Assurance function. partnering with the Head of Testing and Assurance to ensure the team achieves their potential and talent is invested in and grown appropriately Compliance culture Ensure the team's culture is in line with the Compliance Vision and Values, and in particular, is collaborative, embraces feedback, and provides an open, and inclusive environment in which team members can thrive What we're looking for Experience in Risk Management and Risk Assessments and Assurance activities, ideally in a regulated Financial Services firm Understanding of key regulations that impact a regulated Financial Services firm, including: Consumer Duty, SYCS, CONC, DISP, AML and GDPR Understanding of different testing methodologies and how they can be applied to business processes and customer journeys to provide assurance, and understanding of how these can be adapted to ensure coverage of digital journeys Appropriate judgement in assessing test outcomes and the impact on Compliance Risk and ensuring this is clearly articulated Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills to ensure testing outcomes are appropriately represented Someone who embraces change, has an inquisitive mind and identifies and influences new ways of working - including innovative ways to use and analyse large data sets for testing purposes You develop relationships based upon shared objectives and trust to deliver outstanding business impact and elevate Compliances value proposition Experienced in developing people and talent, either through people leadership experience or coaching and mentoring We are committed to creating a level playing field and seek to create teams that are representative of our customers and the communities we serve. We have a hybrid working model, so you'll be based in our office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and can work from home on Monday and Friday.
