Our client is a growing asbestos consultancy based in Kent, known for delivering high-quality asbestos management and consultancy services across the South of England. As the business continues to expand, they are now seeking an Asbestos Operations Manager to help drive growth, streamline operations, and support the Managing Director in taking the company to the next level.
This is a varied and hands on role, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to step into a position with real influence and scope for progression. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the company’s operations, from project and office management to business development.
The ideal candidate will bring both technical knowledge of asbestos and strong operational and leadership skills to help develop processes, oversee project delivery, and support the wider business strategy.
The role:
* Oversee the day to day operations of the consultancy, ensuring smooth delivery across all projects.
* Support the Managing Director with business strategy, growth planning, and client development.
* Manage project workflows, staff scheduling, and operational processes.
* Conduct asbestos surveys and inspections where required (occasional basis).
* Ensure compliance with relevant asbestos regulations and health & safety standards.
* Lead business development activities, helping to expand the company’s client base, particularly across the South.
* Oversee office administration and resource management.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational systems and efficiency.
* Provide technical guidance and support to surveyors and project teams.

We’re looking for:
* Proven experience within the asbestos industry, ideally in an operational, management, or project delivery capacity.
* Strong understanding of asbestos surveying, management, and compliance.
* Experience using Teams Asbestos Software (desirable).
* Ability to conduct asbestos surveys (P402 qualification or equivalent required).
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business growth.
* Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently in a small team environment.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Commutable to Kent with the willingness to travel when required.
