This is a Team Warrant Officer (TWO) Volunteer Reserve position in a Nationally Recruited Unit. The successful candidate will be required to attend at least 44x RSDs per year. The majority of TWOs attend in excess of 88x RSDs per year. 510 STRE (Air Infra) is a reservist specialist team (sub-Unit) of 42 personnel. It is part of 20 Wks GP RE, a Hybrid Unit based at RAF Wittering. 510 STRE (Air Infra) undertake a variety of tasks, with a focus on air infrastructure including consultancy, design, maintenance and CNI advice. 510 STRE (Air Infra) provides professional, innovative and cost-effective infrastructure engineering support to Defence and other Government Departments, is responsive to clients' needs, utilising the specialist skills, knowledge and experience of the team members gained through their highly diverse civilian employment. As sub-Unit Team Warrant Officer you will: Provide administration of the team, including PAPMIS, MUSTER, and attending related meetings. Assist with other administration, for example with MS, official record-keeping and G4 activities. Maintain a strong presence within the team and look after the welfare concerns of the team, being both the senior soldier representative to the OC and officers, but also ensuring that orders from the chain of command are carried out efficiently and effectively, and to provide senior soldier advice to all, junior ranks, SNCOs and officers. Actively participate in team management, attending team management meetings (usually by MS Teams or phone). General oversight of team activities, discipline and policy compliance in all matters. Lead on the planning and organisation of at least one activity/training event annually. On exercise: manage and control daily routine of the team; ensure high standards are maintained, including welfare and personal standards; act as primary Health and Safety adviser to the OC; and liaison with local contracts.
