An opportunity has arisen for an existing B6 or 7 to apply for the above position within the EIT service in Bury.
The Department of Health paper,’ Achieving Better Access to Mental Health services by 2020’ set out the commitment for additional investment to develop Early Intervention in Psychosis services—identifying waiting times, treatment and interventions to be delivered in accordance with NICE guidelines for psychosis and schizophrenia.
The team manager post would be responsible for the day to day management of the team as they provide interventions with people experiencing first episode psychosis and those with an identified at risk mental state.
You will need to have previous experience of working with clients with psychosis and experience of management of staff.

Main duties of the job
To have overall responsibility for the management of the Early Intervention Team
who provide care co-ordination and intervention to those identified as having an at
risk mental state or being in the early phase of a psychotic illness.
To develop a team equipped to meet the Access and Waiting Time Standard by
developing pathways and processes within the service and with external agencies.
To contribute to wider organisational service development as an expert in Early
Intervention services.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To report to the Service Manager, and responsible to the Borough Lead
• To manage the multi-disciplinary Early Intervention Team
• Planning of duty rotas to ensure service priorities are met.
• Overall responsibility of day-to-day organisation of staff and work priorities of the
team
• Responsible for the screening and allocation of referrals received into the service
• Responsible for ensuring individual clinicians have a balanced caseload.
• Ensuring that staff members of all grades have managerial supervision and
individual personal development plans.
• To ensure that all relevant Pennine Care Foundation Trust and Local Authority
Policies / Procedures are accessible and adhered to by all staff
• The monitoring and reviewing of external care providers accessible to the team
• To facilitate the management of complaints, comments and compliments coming
to the team.
• Taking a lead investigating role as necessary
• To ensure all staff have access to, and are in receipt of, clinical supervision.
