Business Development Lead - Climate/Financial Tech - Accelerating The Energy Transition - 70k - Hybrid
Venchr is delighted to have partnered with an incredibly exciting Climate-Tech Start-Up that aims to accelerate the energy transition for thousands of businesses worldwide.
Launched in 2023, this team is a mission-led start-up with two aims: (1) to increase the pace of energy transition by businesses and (2) help them to become energy-autonomous whilst being financially resilient.
Similar to the Industrial Revolution, we are approaching a unique era in which companies will either choose or be compelled to decarbonize. This shift will necessitate a fundamental transformation in how businesses produce energy and conduct their operations. In the coming years, it is projected that businesses will need to spend over £10 billion annually on solar panels, batteries, EV charging stations, and other climate-related equipment.
However, many companies lack readily available cash, particularly in these challenging economic times, and they often do not realize that they could use future energy savings to finance today's hardware investments.
We are pioneering a new category of specialized climate finance. Our medium-term goal is to develop climate finance products throughout the capital stack, foster more investments in energy transition, lower financing costs for end-users, and help decarbonize the planet.
As Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for:
• The overarching strategy and conversion of an active, growing and engaged installer partnership to offer our first climate lending product.
• Development of referral/incentive programmes to quickly build Installer loyalty and our market share.
• Design and development of Partner vetting and onboarding processes that ensure our Installer Partners are high-performing and technically proficient.
• Developing tactical partnerships to create revenue generation opportunities including other parts of the installer supply-chain, such as quote generation software packages and manufacturers.
• Developing and tracking Installer performance KPIs.
• Creating a vibrant community of Installer Partners with targeted in-person and online events.
We can offer a flexible WFH environment but travel to potential client sites, and our London based offices will be required.
