Role Summary
The Head of Quality, Risk, and Governance oversees and enhances the company's quality management systems, risk mitigation strategies, and governance frameworks. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, the role involves collaboration across departments to uphold excellence and compliance. Regular UK and international travel is required.
What you’ll be doing
* ISO Accreditations: Lead and manage ISO certification processes, ensuring alignment with international standards and group integration.
* Training Accreditations: Oversee accreditation for training programs to meet national and international standards.
* Internal Quality Assurance: Develop and monitor quality assurance processes for continuous improvement.
* Health and Safety: Collaborate with the Health & Safety lead to ensure compliance and conduct audits.
* Medicines and Medical Product Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations governing medical products.
* Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on regulations; lead CQC applications and ongoing compliance.
* Risk Management: Identify and manage clinical and operational risks.
* Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports for senior management.
* Training and Development: Guide staff on quality and governance, ensure mandatory training compliance.
* Incident Management: Oversee incident reporting and investigations.
* Audit and Assurance: Conduct internal and external audits.
* Policy Development: Develop and review policies related to quality, risk, and governance.
* Performance Monitoring: Use KPIs to assess and improve initiatives.
* Information Management: Ensure good information governance and GDPR compliance; act as Caldicott Guardian.
* Business Continuity: Lead development of business continuity plans.
* Patient Safety: Promote safety culture and initiatives to reduce harm.
* Regulatory Reporting: Ensure timely reporting to authorities.
* International Development: Ensure clinical practice aligns with national regulations and best practices.

Other requirements
Essential
Registered Healthcare Professional, Masters level education or equivalent, Full UK driving license, Experience in Quality Improvement, Risk Management, ISO standards, Healthcare Leadership, Medicines management, Report writing, Regulatory compliance, Internal Quality Assurance, Project management.
Desirable
Additional qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH, teaching and assessing, leadership training.
Experience
Experience in Quality, Risk & Governance within healthcare, healthcare leadership, medicines management, regulatory compliance, ISO standards, and internal quality assurance.
Knowledge and skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels. Values-based leadership.
