£43,109 - £45,700 / £23.62 - £25.04 per hour (Including Distance Islands Allowance)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Orkney Health and Care to appoint a Learning and Development Officer to lead and co-ordinate the development of multi-agency public protection learning and development opportunities across Orkney.
The right candidate will have significant experience in a diverse role focused upon staff learning and continuous improvement. You will be a strong communicator with experience of relationship building both internally and with partner organisations. This is a challenging role which requires the co-ordination of multiple areas of work simultaneously, establishing and maintaining processes to ensure identified learning is relevant and embedded as part of the culture of Orkney Health and Care.
We require an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual that continually seeks ways to improve all aspects of our service and actively supports colleagues to implement positive approaches to learning and working practices.
The minimum knowledge required for this role can be evidenced by either:
Holding a qualification in a Health or Social Care subject at SCQF 8/9 i.e. SVQ4, HND, General Degree, Higher Apprenticeship, Technical Apprenticeship OR having a minimum of 5 years previous relevant experience.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
