Our client, a leading organisation in the procurement supply chain sector, is currently seeking a Head of Commercial/Procurement to join their team on a contract basis in Brighton. This role offers a hybrid working model, requiring presence in the office eight days per month.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the entire commercial lifecycle, including procurement, contract management, and supplier relationship management
Ensuring compliance with best practices, legislative requirements, and organisational guidelines
Developing and executing commercial strategies that support business continuity and outstanding supplier outcomes
Managing the commercial team and fostering collaborative relationships across the organisation
Overseeing major projects and outsourced contracts
Providing innovative commercial solutions and maintaining robust contractual frameworks
Reporting to the Director of Finance and playing a pivotal role in decision-making processes
Job Requirements:
MCIPS, BIFM, or equivalent professional qualification
Proven experience in strategic procurement and contract management, especially with major outsourced contracts
Strong knowledge of contract law, supplier management, and commercial best practice
Demonstrable leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams
Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation abilities
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Analytical and problem-solving mindset, able to make sound decisions and assimilate complex information
Experience working with organisational guidelines, regulatory bodies, and compliance requirements
