Electrical Engineer (Requirements) | Oxfordshire | Off-Highway Focussed | Competitive Salary
An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer (Requirements) to join their Electrical Team in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. You will work in the Electrical Systems Team to develop battery and electrical systems used in various products ranging from Hybrid energy storage systems to boats to mining trucks.
As a Electrical Engineer you will:
1. Work on requirements across many systems and components, including Battery Management Systems, Vehicle Controller, and Charge Controllers.
2. Generate system and component requirements, based on features lists and cascaded project requirements and attributes.
3. Work with the systems team to deliver the requirements across components and systems to a project.
4. Assist with the development and fault-finding of those systems.
5. Assist with DFMEA activities.
6. Prepare and present reports for internal and external audiences.
7. Support technical and project reviews with the customer.
8. Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and all other departments.
9. Understand and work to Customer, Industry and Legislative standards.
Essential:
* Experience and proven track record in electrical integration within the Automotive or Autosport Industries.
* Degree in relevant engineering discipline or extensive in job experience.
* Experience of Requirements Capture Tools, such as Siemens Polarion or IBM Rational Doors.
* Experience of Electric Vehicles – HV charging, HV battery, and HV powertrain systems.
* The ability to work flexibly to strict deadlines.
Preferred:
* Has an understanding of functional Safety and ISO26262.
* Experience in Diagnostics, including ISO14229 (UDS) and DoIP.
