About the Role
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a full time social worker to join family help Loughborough and Harborough.
The worker will have a small case load of 6 child in need case’s and work with our early help services to support families to make significant changes within their life’s.
The other part of the role will be to provide oversight for the Homes for Ukraine team by providing social work input to the support workers within the home for Ukraine team, Undertaking some joint visits with the support workers, putting social work oversight on cases and undertaking some assessments in line with private fostering procedures, there is a very low number of assessments that come through and the hosts are verified prior to assessment by the Homes for Ukraine’s team. You will be very well supported by both managers and your team to undertake the role .

About You
We want a creative and supportive worker who will provide intensive and focused support to families in their homes. Developing effective relationships and using strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches will help to motivate and encourage behaviour change, leading to positive differences in children’s lives.
To apply for this post, you must have:
1. Degree in Social Work approved by the Social Work England (SWE) or equivalent social work qualification. Certificate of Qualification in Social Work or Diploma in Social Work. The worker must also be registered with Social Work England.
2. Experienced social worker in a children’s social work team.
3. Any Experience of working in: ; children in need, child protection, care proceedings, fostering and looked-after children work.
4. Experience of undertaking Section 47 enquiries.
5. Able to analyse information to reach sound decisions, often under pressure, and take responsibility for their outcome and regular reporting to the Team manager.
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
In addition, we also expect you to share and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.
