Role Overview
The Desktop Support Administrator will be based at the Salfords UK site but will provide effective IT desktop support to all EMEA Sites. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless IT operations and user satisfaction across the region, contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the company.
Responsibilities
1. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
2. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and application software.
3. Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies and upgrades.
4. Provide remote support to users across different locations.
5. Configure, maintain and provide Desktop support to all users to ensure they have the ability to work at all times
6. Actively participate in team discussions.
7. Help develop IT solutions to meet the business objectives.
8. Create and maintain documentation on all IT systems as required.
9. Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
10. Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
11. It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.

Qualifications
13. Desktop support experience
14. Excellent written and oral communication skills
15. Experience in writing work instructions
16. Capable of working with minimum supervision
17. Ability to be a self-starter and finisher
18. Possess a positive attitude
19. Previous experience in a customer support role
20. Highly motivated
Qualifications
21. CompTIA A+ or MCP qualification preferred.
22. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 operating system.
23. Experience with network troubleshooting and basic configuration.
24. Experience with remote desktop support tools and techniques.
25. Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office M and cloud-based tools.
26. Networking experience (for desktop troubleshooting).
27. Knowledge of iOS and Android operating systems for mobile support.
28. Possess a positive attitude.
