Technical Engineering Support (TES) is an engineering firm established over 30 years ago, specializing in test coordination and industrial commissioning. TES also assists its clients with their participation in design studies and the coordination of industrial equipment assembly.
We have a position available for a Site Piping Engineer (m/f) for the Hinkley-Point EPR project in the UK.
Dimensions :
* MEH End to End Engineering team: approximately 120 engineers
* Piping Engineering team: approximately 40 engineers
* Piping Construction Engineering team: currently 9 engineers, expected to grow based on workload
Budget Responsibilities:
* Manage the MEH JV (installation company) under the guidance of the Programme Senior Project Manager. The base scope (piping, electrical, HVAC installation) of the JV contract is £800m.
* Efficiently manage resources within the defined budget.
Key Activities:
* Manage activities related to HK8010 installation contract for BNI and/or BOP piping (construction activities).
* Draft technical specifications for erection activities.
* Update the LDRC (List of Documents Required from the Contractor) and Surveillance Plan for BNI and/or scope.
* Respond to Technical Queries and resolve construction Open Points.
* Coordinate and review deliverables from Erection Contractors to ensure site readiness.
* Review installation specifications from the Responsible Designer (RD).
* Assist the Contract Engineering Lead in updating discipline LADs and Works Information.
* Support the Contract Engineering Lead in managing Early Warnings.
* Handle specific technical topics and support project managers in preparing BFPI/CMB/PCR papers.
* Support construction Project Managers in establishing KPIs for progress reporting.
* Provide technical support to enable smooth site construction activities.
* Coordinate interface responses for Field Change Requests / Non-Conformances.
* Ensure integration of post-construction activities into the construction sequence.
* Coordinate engineering activities to support construction and process improvements.
Minimum Requirements:
* Degree in related engineering field.
* Chartered Engineer with relevant institute membership.
* Detailed understanding of PWR design and experience in PWR operations.
* Working knowledge of French language is advantageous.
* Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
* Strong problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset.
* Effective communication skills for complex topics with diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to analyze large data sets and consider multiple stakeholder viewpoints.
* Influencing skills across a broad stakeholder spectrum.
