Our client is seeking a dynamic and skilled Procurement Lead to join their Housing Asset Management team on a temporary contract. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact while working in a supportive environment!\n\nPosition Details:\n\nContract Type: Temporary\nContract Length: 3 months\nHourly Rate: £27.71 per hour PAYE or £36.84 per hour umbrella \nWorking Pattern: Full Time (Onsite 3 days, WFH 2 days) - Ealing \n\nPurpose of the Role:\nAs the Procurement Lead, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing effective procurement strategies that ensure cost-effective and efficient acquisition of goods, services, and works needed for the Housing Asset Management department.
You will support the Assistant Director and collaborate with the wider team to:\n\nEnsure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.\nIdentify and manage relationships with suppliers and contractors, securing the best value and quality.\nCoordinate contract negotiations and administration to ensure performance monitoring and reporting. \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nServe as the central point of contact for procurement and contract issues.\nLiaise with the council's Procurement Commercial Hub and Legal Services to ensure adherence to governance requirements.\nCreate and manage project teams, facilitating effective project information flow.\nSupport the writing of business cases and coordinate approvals aligned with strategic goals.\nAssist in the preparation of quotation and tender documentation, ensuring compliance and accuracy.\nConduct evaluations and support the writing of Tender Reports with recommendations. \n\nWhat We're Looking For:\nTo thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualities:\n\nStrong procurement strategies and cost-effective acquisition techniques.\nExpertise in supplier management and contract negotiation.\nFinancial efficiency, budget management, and risk management capabilities.\nExcellent communication skills and team coordination.\nA commitment to ethical and sustainable procurement practises.\nProject management experience with a keen eye for detail.
