Our client is a Central London-based engineering company known for a positive and enjoyable work environment with a friendly and welcoming team atmosphere. The position, within their central administration department, involves supporting specialist administrators managing construction projects.
This role is suitable for a school leaver with some relevant admin experience.
We are seeking an Administration Assistant with existing office-based experience, excellent data entry skills, and good attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
1. Monitoring, managing, and maintaining the barcoding and procurement systems
2. Generating material lists from fabrication drawings
3. Managing pricelists, weld mapping, and general barcoding responsibilities
4. Performing general office duties
5. Liaising and providing support to the CAD team
6. Observing orders placed by site teams on the purchase portal
7. Monitoring and updating the online portal (POs, orders, invoices, new users)
8. Uploading price lists onto the online portal
9. Addressing queried invoices to ensure they match the online portal
10. Assisting with company events such as Christmas parties, summer events, golf days, etc.
11. Handling office issues like IT and facilities
12. Supporting the procurement team with daily tasks and company events
We are looking for a positive individual who is a good communicator and enjoys working as part of a busy, friendly team. Applicants must be fully entitled to live and work in the UK. Experience in administration within a technical, construction, or engineering company is advantageous but not essential.
