KS2 Teaching Assistant – Year 4 (Blackburn)
A welcoming primary school in Blackburn is seeking a committed KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their Year 4 team for the summer term, with the potential for the role to become permanent. About the Role
You will be working within a Year 4 classroom, providing targeted support to pupils with SEND. The role involves delivering small‑group interventions, helping pupils access the curriculum, and working closely with the class teacher to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Provide small‑group support to SEND pupils within the Year 4 class
Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging learning activities
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well‑organised learning environment
Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Contribute to assessment and progress tracking where required
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with KS2 pupils, ideally within a primary school setting
Confidence supporting children with SEND
Strong communication skills and a proactive, supportive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
