The role
The Governors of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, dedicated and caring Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our happy and hardworking team.
The successful candidate will be working in a 1:1 role or with small groups supporting children with medical and specific SEND needs, under the direction/instruction of the class teacher.
Duties will involve managing medical needs and delivering learning programmes tailored to the child's individual needs, ensuring full inclusion and integration into the class and the activities undertaken.
We are looking for someone who:
* Will fully support the Catholic ethos of our school.
* Manage the medical needs for individual pupils with a care plan and comply with school policies and procedures relating to child protection and health
* Has a nurturing, enthusiastic manner with good communication skills, able to work with parents and outside agencies confidently
* Is very positive and has a desire to succeed with children
* Is calm and demonstrates good behaviour control
* Works well as a team and is flexible
* Is qualified to at least Level 2 or equivalent
* Preferably has experience of supporting children with SEND
* Shows initiative whilst also being able to work under the direction of the class teacher
* Has a good sense of humour
