Ocean Infinity is seeking a Quality Governance Lead to define, own and embed what good looks like for quality and mission assurance across the organisation. This is a senior, authoritative role with the mandate to set standards, challenge assumptions and ensure quality is built into our systems—not inspected at the end. You will work across design, engineering, operations and delivery to ensure learning from defects and non‑conformances drives real, lasting change. The role is critical to delivering safe, repeatable outcomes on complex programmes, including work for UK Government and defence customers. What you will do: Define and govern quality and assurance standards across the full delivery lifecycle Translate customer, contractual and regulatory requirements into clear acceptance criteria, readiness gates and evidence Identify and govern critical‑to‑quality characteristics affecting safety, reliability and mission success Lead defect, non‑conformance, CAPA, concession and deviation governance Ensure learning from quality events feeds back into design, standards and mobilisation criteria Act as the organisational authority on quality and mission assurance Own quality elements of the Integrated Management System (IMS) Provide governance and challenge at major design, readiness and acceptance reviews Provide clear, insight‑led quality reporting to senior leadership Who you are: Senior quality management experience in a regulated or safety‑critical environment (e.g. defence, aerospace, maritime, nuclear) Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 across the delivery lifecycle ISO 9001 auditing capability (CQI & IRCA Internal Auditor or equivalent) Experience with configuration management, traceability and lifecycle assurance Comfortable operating under information security and export‑control constraints Capability aligned to CQI Practitioner level Desirable Experience on UK MoD or defence programmes Knowledge of AQAP, DEF STAN or AS9100 Supplier quality assurance experience ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Lean Six Sigma, IMS (14001/45001) experience Understanding of Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) Security clearance This role requires eligibility for and maintenance of UKSV Security Check (SC) clearance and compliance with information security and export‑control requirements (including ITAR where applicable). Salary for this position: Up to £95,000 per annum Salary : The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades.
