Supplier Development Manager The Supplier Development Manager will ensure all flow down requirements are passed down from the Customer to relevant personnel within Curtiss-Wright and their suppliers. The role-holder must ensure all relevant compliance legislation is met. For example, HMRC and other Government Agencies. Location : Wimborne, UK Your Challenge: • Contact s uppliers on a regular basis, to build a good rapport, minimise risk, reduce lead times and “Total Cost of Ownership” (TCO) • Provide guidance and expertise to the Purchasing t eam with regards to large p roject p rocurement activitie s • Work directly with the Supply Chain Manager to help develop and implement Supply Chain Strategies to improve efficiency • Manage quality issues, support supplier audits as req uired and m a intain Supplier Performance KPIs & S corecards. Identify trends and / or repeat offenders and develop mitigation actions • Manage Indirect Contracts, in line with Cost Reduction Initiatives • Participate in New Product Introduction activities, working alongside relevant Stake Holders. • Provid e a flexible service to the organisation, ensur ing business needs are met at all times • Provide weekly reports in the agreed format and level of detail, in the timescales required. • Lead continuous improvement activities within the supply chain domain • Any other duties as required. What You Bring: • Experience in Sourcing, Commercial, Project, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Procurement related activities • Strong Stakeholder Management skills developed across a challenging, multi - functional organisation • Experience in developing and implementing vendor selection & qualification • Process improvement skills and ability, gained from knowledge of the wider “Procure to Pay” cycle • Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment • Has commercial and financial acumen • Strong negotiation, communication & problem - solving skills with the ability to drive change • Excellent presentation skills • Excellent time management and task prioritization skills are essential, with the ability to juggle various tasks • Experience gained within an Electro - Mechanical manufacturing environment, ideally within the Defence or Aerospace industries • Familiar with compliance l egislation relating to procurement activities including imports & exports, REACH, RoHS etc. Who We Are Our Values Environmental, Social and Governance Ultra Energy, a Business Unit of Curtiss Wright, is a global engineering and design manufacture leader with just over six decades of experience designing for heavily regulated markets, such as nuclear, aerospace, oil and gas, and more.
