Offer description

We are looking to recruit a dedicated Coaching Development Co-ordinator on a part-time, permanent contract. This role will support the operations of the Football Development Department and contribute to the successful delivery of the Grassroots Football Strategy.

We are the not-for-profit governing body of football in Sussex, proudly serving over 500 clubs and 50,000 players across the county. Our mission is to inspire positive change through football - promoting participation, safeguarding, wellbeing, and supporting inclusive opportunities for all. From grassroots to the professional game, we work to ensure football in Sussex is safe, fun, and accessible, while upholding the highest standards of governance and development.

In recent months, we've launched new digital systems to streamline referee availability, secured Football Foundation funding for grassroots facility upgrades, and hosted inclusive events such as the Sussex Walking Sports Day and Disability Day Centre Festivals. Our commitment to equality and innovation continues to grow, with expanded female coaching pathways, mental health initiatives and more. It's an exciting time to join a team that's shaping the future of football in Sussex.

The successful candidate will support the growth and delivery of our expanding Coach Development Programme, working closely with the current Coach Development Lead. A key part of the role will be coordinating a casual workforce to deliver high-quality CPD opportunities across the county, ensuring coaches are well supported and connected through our Thriving Clubs initiative.

In addition, the role will collaborate with colleagues to positively influence wider areas of the grassroots game, helping to create and sustain a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.

To join the team and be successful, the individual must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role on offer and how their expertise and any experience will enable them to meet the essential and desirable criteria within the role. The individual will be able to demonstrate their passion and professionalism for the role.

The successful applicant will report to the Coach Development Lead and thereafter to the Football Development Manager and the Chief Executive Officer.

Applicants should have prior experience in project management, as well as a background in Coaching. The ideal candidate must also be flexible and able to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.

We are committed to safeguarding children and adults at risk, and anyone working with us will be required to follow our safeguarding policies.

* Health Scheme
* Birthday leave
* Multi Faith Prayer Room available

The position offers 20 Days leave per annum (pro-rata'd based on agreed working pattern for part-time working) and a salary of £15,400 per annum, subject to a 3-month probationary period.
