Overview
We are recruiting for a refrigeration maintenance and service engineer to join the Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust Estates team. This is an exciting newly developed role in a step towards broadening the skills and services provided by the Estates department. You will be an experienced refrigeration engineer and will be provided with the autonomy to deliver both reactive and planned works under the supervision of the Mechanical Estates Officer, ensuring all patients, staff and visitors are safe. This is a mobile role which will require daily travel throughout Dorset, attending to refrigeration breakdowns, service and repair to all Trusts properties. At times, you will be expected to fulfil other tasks working closely with the mechanical, electrical and building teams. Using your skills, knowledge & experience you will help develop others within the Estates team. You will also take part in the out of hours call out rota which will attract additional payments. We aim to provide a professional Estates service in order to support our colleagues to deliver care safely, efficiently and comfortably.

Responsibilities
* Carryout maintenance, breakdowns and repairs of all refrigeration plant and equipment.
* Carryout routine servicing to all refrigeration plant and equipment.
* Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers.
* Manage and maintain required stock levels with an emphasis of first fix, first visit.
* Carryout reactive and planned works to all other building services to include hot and cold water systems, ventilation, heating systems, drainage, safe electrical isolation and building fabric.
* Be part of the out of hours, on-call team at a set frequency.
* Be responsible for driving and maintaining a Trusts vehicle.
