Overview
Research Analyst & Content Writers are the core of the Chambers Careers research process, producing the research and content on the Chambers Associate and Chambers Student brands. They conduct in-depth interviews with lawyers and market experts, gather data and produce detailed, engaging reviews of law firms and the legal profession.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
* Appoint appropriate interviewees and conduct in-depth telephone interviews to gather insights.
* Conduct background research on assigned law firms, practice areas or topics and identify developments for interviews.
* Compile interview commentary and data analysis to draft informative law firm reviews.
* Analyse survey data to inform interviews and editorial content.
* Identify market priorities, trends and narratives; share findings with internal stakeholders.
* Accurately log communications and monitor research progress.
Editorial
* Produce original, engaging, accessible editorial for Chambers Associate and Chambers Student websites.
* Build understanding of audience needs and client expectations to deliver fair, balanced and honest editorial.
* Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, interviewee anonymity, libel and fact‑checking responsibilities.
* Use effective quotes and illustrate each firm’s unique attributes and appeal to students.
* Meet editorial deadlines and report challenges to Research Managers.
* Adapt writing for alternative styles: market reports, firm reports, podcast questionnaires, marketing copy.
* Incorporate feedback into editorial.
Audience engagement and client management
* Accompany senior colleagues to university law fairs and pop‑up events, engaging with students.
* Pitch social media and newsletter ideas for Chambers platforms.
* Maintain positive relationships with law firms and external contacts.
