Job Description
The role involves building and leading the Glasgow Business Architecture team, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management. The candidate will develop team capabilities through training and mentoring, shape and drive process transformation and automation strategies, and oversee global and local process engagements aligned with strategic priorities.
Responsibilities include leading process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency, customer experience, and risk management; establishing strong stakeholder relationships; providing expertise in business architecture and process design; expanding team capabilities; supporting process enablement and upskilling across the organization; and ensuring effective governance and reporting of transformation outcomes.
Purpose of the Role
To support change delivery managers in executing successful projects, ensuring alignment with controls, governance standards, and strategic objectives.
Accountabilities
* Support change delivery managers to ensure project compliance with the Barclays Control Framework.
* Create and implement standardized PMO processes aligned with controls and governance standards.
* Monitor project performance, track progress, identify risks, issues, dependencies, and report to senior management.
* Maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules, and budgets.
* Facilitate project governance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and effective risk management.
* Provide change management training to stakeholders.
* Continuously improve project management practices.
Director Expectations
* Manage a business function, contributing to strategic initiatives, policy development, and managing complex projects.
* Lead a large team or act as a technical expert, guiding cross-functional collaboration and strategic decision-making.
* Advise senior management and influence policy and strategic initiatives.
* Manage resourcing, budgeting, and policy creation for the sub-function.
* Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and monitor external environment influences.
* Maintain industry knowledge and apply analytical skills to solve complex problems.
* Make strategic decisions, influence stakeholders, and serve as a key contact and spokesperson for the function.
