A Customer Service Rep I job is available with the City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Contract Management Division. This detail-oriented professional will assist the department with Customer Support needs for the general public.
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
* Valid Driver's license
* Two years of experience in customer service or front-facing customer service.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and usage of online software
* Experience managing incoming emails and resource calendars
* Working knowledge of ActiveNet or comparable reservation system
The Customer Service Rep I job responsibilities include:
* Customer Service Support: answering general inquiries from the public (email, phone, in-person as needed).
* Perform monetary intakes and process online payments.
* Performs a wide variety of clerical and word processing duties such as heavy telephone and over the counter interaction with external and internal parties, processing paperwork and entering data into various City databases.
* Assist with administrative needs related to park reservations
* Reconciling fees, review general park reservation permits, and conduct compliance reviews with regard to customer liability waivers
* Interpret, apply, and respond to park requests, policies and procedures from the public
* Participate in rotating weekend coverage: serve as liaison to notify other departments, supervisors, etc. of maintenance, emergency, and/or enforcement needs
* Maintaining and updating systems: verifying customer account information, record keeping and/or obtaining required documentation needed for reservations, to include insurance, emergency plans, site plans, and parking plans
* Establish and maintain effective working and community partner relationships.
* Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
* Interpret and explain City policies and procedures
* Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in the Department and City attendance policies and procedures; ensure all behaviors comply with City Personnel Rules and Regulations
* Performs other duties as required, to include special projects
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Sedentary Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
