The Opportunity Based at Joseph Poots & Son Funeral Directors - Portadown, our Senior Funeral Directors are compassionate, professional and responsible for making sure everything goes smoothly on the day. They are smart, empathetic, and detail-focused; working with our Arrangers and Operatives to ensure every little detail is just right. Typical duties for this role are: To manage mortuary area & mortuary checks, including checking on the care of our deceased. Ensure all vehicles leave the premises in the best condition, complete vehicle checks and organise repairs with the Diary Manager. Help the Funeral Director organise the team in line with garage orders and ensure standards are achieved. Manage coffin & other orders, assist with the running of the Hub / Stock control Attend train the trainer sessions on an ongoing basis, buddy up new starters in their induction periods, support acquisitions. Able to make funeral arrangements and conduct funerals. Your duties will include driving company vehicles, so you'll need a full driving licence. You'll also have a place on the out of hours, and on-call rota, which will provide an opportunity to earn additional payments.
