We’re working with a growing, tech-led business in London that’s continuing to invest in its internal developer platform (Kubernetes-based) – and they’re looking for an experienced individual contributor to play a key role in its evolution.
This is a mid–senior level position, ideal for someone who enjoys owning problems end-to-end. You’ll be just as comfortable shaping platform architecture as you are engaging with development teams to understand what they’re building and how best to support them.
What you’ll be doing:
* Developing and improving a Kubernetes-based internal platform used across engineering
* Designing scalable, reliable infrastructure – not just operating it
* Building tooling and automation to enhance developer workflows
* Partnering closely with teams to understand requirements and influence platform direction
Core experience:
* Strong Kubernetes knowledge, including design and architecture (not just day-to-day management)
* Solid Linux exposure (many systems are on-prem, so practical experience matters)
* Strong software engineering skills (Python or another language) for building tools and solving problems
Also valuable:
* Experience with infrastructure-as-code / GitOps approaches
* Familiarity with observability tooling and modern platform practices
* Understanding of networking fundamentals
The kind of person who thrives here:
* A strong IC who takes ownership and drives work forward
* Comfortable working with stakeholders and translating requirements into technical solutions
* Collaborative, pragmatic, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
