Kickstart (or continue) your career in HR with Daimler Truck UK
We’re looking for a motivated and driven HR Apprentice to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is serious about building a career in HR — whether you’re just starting out, transitioning into HR from another role, or have already completed a Level 3 HR apprenticeship and are ready to progress to Level 5.
This isn’t a “typical” apprenticeship. Our HR team operates in a fast-paced, commercial environment, so we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, juggle multiple priorities, and become a valued member of the team from day one.
Alongside hands-on experience, you’ll be supported through a Level 3 or Level 5 HR apprenticeship, depending on your experience and capability.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll gain exposure across the full HR function, including:
* Supporting day-to-day HR administration, ensuring records and documentation are accurate and up to date
* Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing a professional and helpful service
* Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
* Assisting with reward and benefits activities (including our company car scheme and benefits administration)
* Supporting HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
* Using HR systems and data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
* Supporting employee relations administration with a high level of confidentiality
* Building strong relationships across the business and understanding how HR supports operations
This role offers real variety, responsibility, and exposure across HR — not just admin.
What we’re looking for?
We’re not just looking for someone who wants an apprenticeship — we’re looking for someone who wants a career in HR.
You’ll stand out if you:
* Have strong organisational skills and can manage multiple tasks at once
* Thrive in a busy environment and can prioritise effectively
* Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Are confident, professional, and approachable in your communication
* Are proactive, curious, and not afraid to ask questions or challenge how things are done
* Have experience balancing priorities (this could be from work, education, or other environments)
* Have a genuine passion for HR and people
Essential:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)
* Basic Microsoft Office skills and a willingness to learn HR systems
Why join us?
* Real, hands-on HR experience across a really broad range of activities
* A supportive and experienced HR team who will invest in your development
* A structured HR apprenticeship qualification (Level 3 or Level 5)
* Exposure to a large, global organisation in a commercial setting
* The opportunity to shape your future career in HR
A bit about you…
We’re a close-knit team, so team fit really matters. We’re looking for someone who is:
* Positive, reliable, and willing to get stuck in
* Comfortable working at pace
* Able to build relationships quickly
* Someone we can trust to take ownership and deliver
Ready to apply?
If you’re looking for more than just an apprenticeship — and want a role where you can genuinely develop, contribute, and grow — we’d love to hear from you.
