Location: Linnvale Primary School, 82 Livingstone Street, Clydebank, G81 2RL

Salary: £23,942.69 - £25,420.86 per year (pro rata)

Contract Type: Permanent

Position Type: Part Time

Hours: 5 hours per week

This is a term-time, part-time position, and the salary will be pro-rata based on hours worked.

Are you passionate about creating a warm, engaging, and safe environment for young pupils?

Our school seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Start Club Assistant to help ensure that pupils begin their day positively and securely.

As an Early Start Club Assistant, your responsibilities will include supervising and engaging with pupils in the hall or playground, setting up and clearing the room, and assisting with breakfast service.

You will support pupils in developing independence, encourage good behavior, and provide comfort for minor accidents or upsets.

A warm, approachable manner and the ability to promote the school’s positive ethos are essential qualities.

Key experience includes working with children and strong communication skills.


Requirements

This role is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, and membership with the PVG scheme is required. Further details can be found here.

Preferred applicants will need to become members of the PVG scheme or undergo an update check before a formal offer is made.


Responsibilities

The employment for this role is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones, as failure to do so could lead to dismissal or disciplinary action.
