Temporary Senior Office Administrator (Part-Time)

We are recruiting a highly organised and resilient Office Administrator to support a senior academic leader within a prestigious Oxford-based institution.
This is a demanding, fast-paced role requiring exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will provide high-level administrative support, manage correspondence and documentation, assist with diary preparation, and play a key role in organising meetings, events, and formal hospitality.
Key responsibilities
* Drafting, formatting and managing formal correspondence and documents
* Preparing briefing papers and daily meeting packs
* Monitoring and managing multiple email inboxes
* Supporting the organisation of regular events and formal functions
* Maintaining accurate electronic and paper filing systems
* Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Providing cover for senior administrative colleagues when required
About you
* Proven experience in a similar senior administrative role
* Proven experience in copy and audio typing
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to handle confidential information with tact and professionalism
* Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to last‑minute changes
* Confident working independently and as part of a small team
