Directorate: Children and Families Section: Access & Support Services for Vulnerable Learners - Education Re-engagement Team Location: Civic Centre Grade: Level 4 Actual Salary: £5,037 - £5,280 Hours: 7.4 – Part Time This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants. The Education Re-engagement Team is part of the Access and Support for Vulnerable Children Service within the Children and Families Directorate in Stoke-on-Trent. The team works to re-engage children and young people with education To build capacity in schools to enable them to meet the needs of an increasingly neuro diverse school population To ensure that a child’s additional medical/health need does not become a barrier to their educational success To identify children and young people at risk of exclusion earlier and to sign post schools and families to universal/targeted support through a range of services including Early Help To reduce the number of permanent exclusions To ensure that excluding schools are following national guidance and to commission a continuum of quality Alternative Provision (AP) across the city. This part time role includes maintaining accurate records of exclusion cases, preparing and archiving necessary paperwork related to exclusions on Capita and assisting in preparing documents and evidence for exclusion appeal hearings and Independent Review Panels.
