Fire & Security Engineer
Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You will ensure effective delivery of PPM, reactive calls and additional small works, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs and installation of fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm equipment to the relevant legislative and qualitative standards.
* Maintain documentation and records promptly and accurately.
* Execute fault‑finding techniques as part of reactive calls and small works.
* Actively attend and participate in company‑initiated training to maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge.
Qualifications
* Experience in the fire & security systems industry, carrying out PPM, reactive calls and small works.
* Service test and inspection experience to relevant standards/codes.
* Ability to follow health and safety legislation and perform fault‑finding techniques.
* Excellent communication skills and basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy.
* Capability to work to high health and safety requirements and to work with little supervision.
Additional Experience
* Previous experience with PPM, accident reporting or RAMS.
* Experience in the engineering field preferred.
