Milk Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in Rotherham. This exciting opportunity involves teaching Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport and physical activity.
This is a full-time position, available for an immediate start or from September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
2. Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
3. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
4. Encourage students to develop confidence, teamwork, leadership skills, and a passion for physical activity
5. Support students in developing practical skills, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles
6. Contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and enrichment activities where appropriate
7. Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider school staff to support student achievement
8. Uphold the values and professional standards of Milk Education and our partner schools
Requirements:
9. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
10. Specialism in Physical Education, with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4
11. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
12. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
13. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
