The Role: Functional Skills Tutor
As a Functional Skills Tutor, you’ll:
* Deliver 1:1 or small group tutoring sessions in English, Maths, and IT.
* Help students build essential skills to succeed in life and work.
* Create tailored lessons to meet individual student needs.
* Maintain professionalism, following all safeguarding policies and best practices.
Hourly Pay: £25–£30
A full UK driving licence is desirable, as some sessions may be delivered in students' homes or local libraries.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in teaching Functional Skills (English, Maths, IT).
* Strong communication skills in English.
* Based in Lincoln or the surrounding areas.
* A passion for helping students improve their practical skills for everyday life.
* An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply, with support from us).
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, or other additional needs is an advantage.
* UK teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
* Familiarity with functional skills curriculum and exam boards.
* Up-to-date safeguarding training.
* Professional references covering 24 months from the last 10 years.
